IMPORTANT - Activity Consolidation Project (global FIDA initiative)

We sometimes get the feeling that some of you don’t believe that the Admin team doesn’t care about things such as league structures and activity levels in different leagues. Well, we can assure you that we truly do care. This is something that we believe to be extremely important but the community has not been ready for major changes in this area… until now! With several National FIDAs now in place we have, for the first time, the organizational structure in place to take decisions on important changes based on the input and wishes of the community (through FIDA polls etc). This is why we now want to initiate the project we like to call THE ACTIVITY CONSOLIDATION PROJECT.

The main goal of this project is to increase and consolidate activity within the whole FID world. In order to do so we need to work out a plan (together with all of the National FIDAs) and execute some major changes in the league structure. The plan is to have them executed already before the start of Season 15. The main focus areas for this project (as we currently see them) should be limited to:

- Changing of match times for certain leagues (for the good of the local community, the characters already playing in those leagues and for the good of the global community).

- Closing of inactive leagues (planning and handling of team/character movement where there’s still some activity to be found).

- Introduction of age limitations OR introduction of youth leagues (in order to give younger characters a natural place to play against player with same skill level).

Deadline: Communicated and Executed well in time for the start of Season 15.

We must have as many of our decided actions planned and executed long time before the start of the next season. This so that users that for example are not so happy with new match times are given enough time to find a new league to play that matches with their wishes. This means we need to get up and running ASAP if we want to do this.

Project roles:

Project Manager: FIDAdmin1
Activity Consolidation Coordinators: Bubbz23 and RoD

The coordinators will keep the constructive dialogue going within the global FIDA organizations, help drawing up the new structure, putting an action plan in place and communicate with the community.

In order for this project to be a success there are two very important requirements:

#1. We all need to be open to cooperation in order for this project to succeed. If we are not then the project will surely fail. There will be cases and questions where we will all have different views and opinions but we must be open to discussion and finding compromises where necessary.

#2. We need to be open to skipping time consuming actions if there is a risk that an action will delay the whole project, making it impossible to execute important actions in good time before the start of the new season. If we are finding discussions where there is no common ground to be found and where it is taking too long time we need to be open to leave those areas for a later stage.

I want to finish off by clarifying two things:

- We do not yet know what changes will be made and how we will make them. We are hoping for an extremely high involvement of FIDA organizations and their members to find a good solution but what we do know is that it must all be looked at from a global as well as a local perspective in order to consolidate and bring the activity level up in as many areas and match times as possible (we can’t have too many different leagues competing for active members on the same match times because it only hurts those leagues more than it does good). Some of you may be affected by these changes and some may not.

- We strongly urge any sub-community that does have a league in their country and that has some activity left in their community to establish a FIDA as soon as possible in order to be involved in this project. We will allow for any country that has a league to establish a FIDA if there are some serious candidates behind it.

We hope that this project is the beginning of a new dawn for Footballidentity and its community where there will be much less bot matches and where there will be strong leagues where managers and footballers are rather fighting for a spot in a team than just being thrown into a team where there is very few humans to answer their calls. We hope that you are all looking forward to this and that you stay faithful to this project even if it may encounter some obstacles along the way.
