Preguntas frecuentes de FID (en inglés)

I cannot login to the main site. When I type my username and password it advises me that my User ID and Password are incorrect. If I select 'Forgot Password' it notifies me that my account has been locked out.

Please follow the link you receive when you try and login. It will enable you to discuss your ban with the GM team, and we can try and find a solution to the problem.

Can me and my friend/family member play Footballidentity from the same computer?

Yes, certainly. It is not against the rules to access Footballidentity from the same computer as a friend or family member; however you must contact the GM team, clearly advising which users are sharing the same computer. You must not play Footballidentity from the same computer as a friend/family memberat the same time.

Can me and my friend/family member play Footballidentity from the same IP address?

Yes, certainly. It is not against the rules to access Footballidentity from the same IP address as a friend or family member. We are fully aware that some users share routers, or play Footballidentity from schools/universities etc where IP addresses are likely to be the same. This is not against the rules. However; if users are using the same computer to play Footballidentity, you must contact the GM team, clearly advising which users are sharing the same computer.

How do I transfer one of my character slots to another user?

This is no longer possible, as users are now able to send FID Credits to another user. If you are not able to purchase a new character slot yourself, and somebody has agreed to do so for you, they should purchase the required amount of FID Credits from their own account, and then transfer them to you, using the "send FID Credits" facility on the main site.

Can I transfer one of my characters to another user?

No, not any more. This option used to be available, but due to the large amount of time it takes to process these requests, we believe the time could be spent more wisely on game developments, and as a result this cannot be done. The character 'takeover' feature is still available via World -> Employment -> Footballers.

I've heard a lot of people say that 'home advantage' exists within Fid, is this true?

No, it isn't true. Home advantage does not exist, and teams definitely are not boosted by playing at home. This doesn't mean we will not implement it in the future, it's just not something we consider high priority at the moment.

Can I rename my character?

Yes. If you purchase the FID Supporter Pass, you can make a one-time character name change. Character names can only ever be changed once, and you can only change one of your character's names every month.

How long does it take for an inactive character to retire from his account?

A user has to be inactive for 44 days before the footballer character(s) become available to others to take control of.

  1. User is inactive for 30 days = First Warning message is sent out
  2. User is inactive for 7 more days = Second Warning message is sent out
  3. User is inactive for 7 more days again = User Account is de-activated and any footballer characters (with contract) are open for application from other users.

How do I take over an inactive user's character?

When a user becomes de-activated (due to inactivity) any footballer connected to the user that still has a contract with a team will end up on the World -> Employment -> Footballers list with a set deadline. It is possible for users with an empty slot from the same country to apply for that footballer. The user with the highest user rating gets the footballer when deadline is reached.

How do I take over a user's expired character?

If a user chooses not to renew their character slot, and it contains a footballer that has a contract, you will be able to apply to take over this character 14 days after the slot expired.

What happens if nobody applies to take over a character before the deadline?

If a footballer becomes a free agent without anyone taking over the character, the character will be retired. If the deadline passes with nobody applying to takeover the character, the deadline will simply be extended further.

I've been locked out of the main site for having multiple accounts, what can I do?

There will be the possibility to buy back your account for 5'000 FID Credits, including an additional 1'000 FID Credits per additional account you have been playing with (per year).

Having paid the fine to buy back your account, including the additional fines per additional account you have been playing with, we will move all characters into 1 account, your main account. However; you will not have the option to drop specific characters. You either pay for all multi-accounts you have been playing with, or all accounts will be closed.

During the process of moving your characters into 1 single account, it will be taken into account that you cannot have more than 10 characters, of which you can only have 1 manager, and 1 journalist - also it is not possible to have a manager/player character in the same team. If any of the above apply, you will not be allowed to recover these characters; however you will still have to pay the fine for playing with the multi-account, otherwise all your accounts will be closed.

Please contact the GM team to discuss this further.

How are the Bars and Stars Indicators working?

1. “Precision/randomness stars”
These stars are shown when passing and shooting. These stars simply show the randomness. A red star means that the footballer has been almost as unlucky as he/she can be while for example three silver stars show that the footballer was luckier than normally. Three stars for a bad passer for example may therefore be equal to a one star pass for a really good passer and it is always as likely to get for example two stars no matter what the skills are like. In other words, a Star Quality passer gets as many red stars as a Very Poor passer.

2. "Bars"
The quality bars shows how good the shot/pass is and is not in any way connected to the precision of the shot/pass. Two shooters/passers – one really bad and one really good - who performs two shots/passes (one each) with the exact same quality have the same difficulty to interact with no matter what the shooter/passer skills are like and also no matter how accurate the shot/pass has been.

The quality bar always show how good quality the shot/pass has and the good shooters/passers are more likely to get high quality shots/passes than bad shooters/passers. So a good shooter/passer and a bad shooter/passer with the exact same quality only means that the better shooter have not fulfilled his/her potential as fully as the worse shooter has.

3. “Favourite/underdog stars”
These stars show how the footballer performs compared to the odds he/she has when it comes to fight/dribble/tackle/saving/punching/receiving/blocking. If a footballer is more likely to win/succeed than 50% and wins then he/she will get two stars. If he/she is less likely to win the footballer will get three silver stars or three golden stars if winning depending on how unlikely the footballer was to win/succeed and on the same time the loosing/failed footballer will get a silver star or a red star. This means that when there are fights for the ball and more than two footballers are involved it is quite normal to see the winner getting three stars while the loosing footballers both getting two stars since no one was a clear favourite. This also means that if a great fighter for the ball is up against a really bad fighter for the ball then both will get two stars as long as the great fighter win. If he/she loose though, then he will most likely get a red star while the bad fighter will get three golden stars. This means that if a player is unmatched in a skill and always is the favourite in a fight (not likely there are any footballers who are unmatched in all situations but still...) then that footballer would never get three stars - only two stars and one stars.

I want to retire my character, can you terminate my contract for me?

No, I'm afraid this isn't possible. If this is your first contract you can opt to make the contract terminable; however it must then be terminated by your manager, who may or may not decide to do so. If you have been involved in a transfer, it is not possible to terminate your contract. This is very important for our transfer market since we require the value of the footballers to remain within the market. If we were to allow players who was bought from one team to another to retire then the money spent by the teams would have been spent on something that no longer has any value. It would also open up the possibility to cheat.
