Season closure, pre-season and the start of the new season

It is now time to prepare for a new season and there are a lot of things that needs to be done before the new season can start. Here is a list with dates (this is if everything goes as planned so minor changes may occur) and status of the different actions that will be performed. As soon as an action has been finished then we will update this list and mark that action with green text to make it as easy as possible for you to follow. 

2012-06-14 Friendlies will be played.
2012-06-14 Player awards will be distributed. The Team and Competition Awards will not be shown until after midnight UTC time which means 2012-06-15 0.00 UTC.
2012-06-14 The Ratings of the Managers will be increased.
2012-06-14 The new salary budget will be decided and distributed (please note that the salary budgets for promoted teams will be updated 2012-06-26 if needed).
2012-06-15 The Preseason starts. The possibility to go on Training Camps (makes it possible to redistribute the attribute points) will be opened.
2012-06-15 The Player Contracts that should be possible to terminate will be opened up for termination. Do not mix this up with Contract Expiration that will be done 2012-06-25 further down the list.
2012-06-17 Friendlies will be played.
2012-06-18 - 2012-06-20 The first playoff round will be played.
2012-06-20 Friendlies will be played.
2012-06-21 - 2012-06-24 The second playoff round will be played.
2012-06-25 Friendlies will be played.
2012-06-25 All contracts that should expire this season will expire.
2012-06-26 The promoted teams who have too low salary budgets compared to the other teams in the league they promoted to will get an increase of their salary budgets.
2012-06-27 The match shedule for season 12 will be decided.
2012-06-27 Friendlies will be played.
2012-06-28 The predictions will be up and running for the season and it will be possible to start betting.
2012-07-02 Friendlies will be scheduled.
2012-07-02 Season 12 will start. 

Some of you may feel that this pre-season break is a bit long and this we can agree on. We normally try to keep the pre-season breaks a bit shorter. This pre-season we have two main reasons for making us take the decision to have a slightly longer break than we normally have and those two reasons are:
1. We are about to enter a big partnership that will most likely will bring in tens of thousands of new users. Better to make sure that everything works as intended with performance etc before we get the season starting.
2. We have added the chance for you all to request permission for mass movements and relegate bot teams for active teams etc and this gives the GM team more time to carefully investigate the requests we have got.
